It’s one hell of a St David’s day for us here in Wales.

For those of you who don’t know, St David is the patron saint of Wales and March 1st is St Davids Day where Welsh people celebrate our heritage. Today, however is a special day for us, as we celebrate the opening of our new Welsh government building, the Senedd. It’s an incredible piece of architecture, and I for one absolutely love it. We have several members of the royal family coming to open the building.

Annoyingly, the military convoys and high security caused traffic chaos this morning, which didn’t help the chaos that was naturally caused by the snow. I’m looking forward to this weekend, when I’m hoping I can get some time in the Beacons to enjoy the snow. Woot.

Correction: it’s one of the St David’s days today … I believe there are three this year, four if you count printing companies who can’t produce welsh-language diaries … (then again, if they can’t we won’t)

But dydd gwyl Dewi hapus all the same…
